How does the summer go by this fast? Seriously, July is halfway over and I am booked solid every weekend for the rest of the summer! As promised, photos from Chicago are included in this post. Since I live near Chicago I never get to do the tourist-y things so we went to Millennium Park (beautiful). Personally, I am a huge fan of the botanical gardens. In Columbus there is apparently a butterfly conservatory with Chihully glass. Sounds
brilliant-I'll have to go sometime.
Recently, I have been spending a lot of time in Columbus. Gallery hop, another unique feature of Columbus, occurs every month throughout the year. All of the galleries and shops in the Short North stay open late and people meander through them. I think Delaware will have that future potential as well. Even in the three short years that I have been here, Delaware has added shops, restaurants, antique stores, and boutiques. It's pretty exciting to see it happening.
This coming weekend I am heading to Maine which will be a nice and relaxing change. For once it will be nice to be away from the rest of civilization. Other than that I have been doing some great reading and studying for the GRE. Oh! And I am also training for the Columbus 1/2 Marathon. As a retired cross country runner, I could never see myself doing a marathon-I know how much work that is. Half of that distance seems much more appropriate. Hopefully the weather cools enough to allow for some good running!

Ok so I am at work, and bored, so I am reading your blog. Anyways, next time you go to Chicago you HAVE to go and see Frank Lloyd Wright's house/studio, it is AMAZING. Also, the architecture tour from the river is pretty interesting as well. Ok...I'm a nerd but I am a chicago veteran...Miss you!
